This magnetic attchment for The Gecko (sold seperately) allows you to mount any device with a threaded mounting system (GoPro, Zoom Recorder, Camera, Torch/Lamp etc) on The Gecko and when combined with a mic stand, gives you 360 degree rotation and all the versatility of the small mic stand footprint. You could also mount your device straight onto anything metal such as roof beams, metal walls/posts etc.
